PraxisCareer ("we," "our," or "the platform") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Who we are

PraxisCareer is a career intelligence platform operated from Toronto, Canada. Our website is praxiscareer.com and our application is at app.praxiscareer.com.

2. What data we collect

When you use PraxisCareer, we collect:

• Account information: email address, full name, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google).
• Career profile data: your current role, industry, location, years of experience, skills, and target role. You provide this during onboarding.
• Usage data: which features you use, searches you perform, and pages you visit within the app.
• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and general geographic location (country/city level).
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide personalized career analysis based on your role, location, and experience.
• Generate AI-powered market assessments, skill gap analyses, and career recommendations.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Improve the platform through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
• Send you service-related communications (account confirmations, billing, critical updates).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and server functions (hosted in the US).
• Google OAuth — for social login. We receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.
• PostHog — anonymized product analytics (session data, feature usage).
• Adzuna — job market data used in career analysis. Your personal data is not sent to Adzuna.
• Google Gemini — AI model used to generate career analysis. Your role, location, and skills are sent as part of analysis prompts. No personally identifiable information (name, email) is sent to the AI model.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase's infrastructure (US region). We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. All connections use HTTPS encryption. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled by Supabase Auth and Google OAuth.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored on our platform.
• Correct any inaccurate data through your profile settings.
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Export your data in a machine-readable format upon request.
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account.

If you are in Brazil, your rights under the LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados) are fully respected. If you are in Canada, we comply with PIPEDA. If you are in the EU, we comply with GDPR.

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

• A language preference cookie ("lang") to remember your chosen language (30-day expiry).
• Authentication session cookies managed by Supabase (essential for login).
• PostHog analytics cookies for anonymized usage tracking.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels from ad networks.

8. AI-generated content

PraxisCareer uses AI to generate career analysis, market assessments, and LinkedIn rewrites. This content is informational and should not be treated as financial, legal, or professional advice. AI-generated outputs are based on market data and general knowledge — they are interpretations, not guarantees.

9. Children

PraxisCareer is intended for professionals and is not directed at individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
